Cristina Querrer (CQ) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, and sound producer whose work bridges memory, migration, and material. Born in the Philippines during the Marcos regime—post-Vietnam War and pre-Mount Pinatubo eruption—she grew up as a U.S. military child on Clark Air Force Base and graduated from the former Wagner High School in 1985.
Now based in Connecticut, Cristina has also lived and worked in Florida, Japan, and the Federated States of Micronesia, with brief but formative travels through Europe. These cross-cultural experiences deeply inform the layered, borderless nature of her practice. A U.S. Army veteran and seasoned educator, she holds an MFA in Creative Writing, an MFA in Visual Arts, and a Master’s in Library & Information Science.
Cristina is the author of By Astrolabes & Constellations (Agave Press), a Florida Authors & Publishers Association award winner, and The Art of Exporting (dancing girl press). Her creative work spans poetry, sculpture, installation, sound, and narrative—often invoking personal and ancestral histories as both archive and artform.
